Bulgari Eclettica: jewellery with an art-world appetite
Some jewellery finishes an outfit. Some jewellery appears to have brought its own exhibition catalogue. Bulgari’s Eclettica is very comfortable in the second category.
Eclettica is Bulgari’s 2026 high jewellery and high-end watch collection, presented through painting, sculpture and architecture. Its nine Capolavori provide a useful starting point for looking at the collection as design.
The collection behind the name
LVMH published the Eclettica announcement on 27 March 2026. The collection draws on three artistic disciplines—painting, sculpture and architecture—and the announcement highlights nine Capolavori. I like that framework because it gives us something more precise to discuss than “very sparkly”. Jewellery can work through colour, through volume or through its arrangement of lines and space. Once you start looking that way, a necklace becomes a far more interesting object than its red-carpet caption.
Three ways to look at a jewel

My preference is to examine one piece slowly rather than race through a gallery of spectacular objects. Look at the spaces between the stones as well as the stones themselves. A design often becomes recognisable through what it leaves open.
What the collection can teach an everyday wardrobe
I would translate this into one clear colour relationship: a jewel against a plain neckline, or an interesting metal form against a quiet fabric. If the necklace is having a very good conversation, the blouse does not have to interrupt.
For an actual high-jewellery enquiry, ask the house about the specific piece, its materials, fitting and availability. A campaign image does not mean the photographed object is waiting in a local showcase. I would also want to understand how it feels on the body; weight and movement are part of the experience that a photograph cannot provide.
Admiration costs nothing. It is entirely acceptable to begin there.
